Sembly AI has built software that automates far more of that job.
On September 8, launched Sembly 3.0, which it calls a complete rebuild of the platform. Previous incarnations were dedicated to simply taking the transcriptions of meetings and returning notes. Sembly 3.0 enables the software to take the data it already has access to in a company’s archives – be it through a customer meeting, documents, the CRM, websites or its knowledge base – and transform that information into finalised business outputs such as presentations, case studies, proposals and reports.
Sembly doesn’t simply instruct the AI to generate the content for deck and then have the user assemble them inside PowerPoint; it seeks to automate a much larger part of the production process.

Sembly wants every user to be able to get started with an intended result, rather than a long string of inputs. For example, it’s reasonable to have a sales person ask the AI to create a pitch deck for a particular client. The AI would have access to, gather and understand relevant files and contacts in the company database, know the specifics about the client, apply company-specific branding and generate the appropriate output. You will still be able to edit elements of the output during generation and it can be exported into editable PowerPoint or Word file types (or .pptx and .docx, respectively).

Sembly leaves the meeting assistant category
The software previously available for sale from Sembly has previously been very similar to products known as AI meeting assistants. The company launched Sembly 1.0 in 2022, with features that help make meeting archives and notes searchable. Its follow-up iteration, Semblian 2.0, brought generative AI power to multiple meetings.
The new, third generation of Sembly has taken a new turn, where a meeting only feeds into a more broadly capable system.
This change can be a lot of value in certain cases, namely for consulting firms, agencies, IT service providers, recruiting companies and advisor services. Trying to solve a client project where there are dozens of internal and external interactions, Sembly 3.0 could help to put it all together in an understandable output.
How is this different than Copilot, Canva or Beautiful.ai like products?
The market for AI tools that create presentations is already crowded. Microsoft Copilot and Canva’s Magic Design can both build presentations from prompts right inside the respective product or can draw from provided documents. Copilot is built for integration with Microsoft Office. Beautiful.ai is about creating presentations from prompts or other files.
Sembly is a differentiated position not a simple presentation builder, but more like an AI “aware of the client and the project work.”
There is an individual client context with meeting history, identifying details, relevant files etc. for each project on the platform – so context is not having to be fed from an empty dialogue box. The particular strength of this is pitched for service teams that depend on knowing client information.
Human verification is still in the workflow
While Sembly is capable, it isn’t built for fully autonomous publishing. The user can follow the document assembly process, give feedback as it happens and approve a document before it is issued. This will ensure correctness at important stages of the project especially with important materials such as proposals, contracts or reports where a simple typo can cause a significant monetary loss.
Users have reported saving weeks on producing presentations and reports.
Those reports are official, and there are positive customer anecdotes, but they’re not independent tests.
