Xbox has hidden a working Series X inside a five foot alligator sculpture and one lucky fan will get to take it home. Xbox Series X-BITE was announced on November 3, 2026, as a custom-built console with a realistic reptile exterior and a matching controller with bite marks. There is one up for grabs and entries are open until November 10.
This console is not for sale, like a typical special-edition release. Xbox is giving it away in a limited-time social media sweepstakes, and the November deadline for entry is a point collectors are advised to keep in mind.
What Makes the Xbox Series X-BITE Different?
The alligator, which is over five feet long from snout to tail, was created and assembled by creature effects specialist John Nolan Studio. The design is capped off with green eyes and a wireless controller held between the animal’s jaws, while a glowing Xbox Nexus symbol reveals the console inside.
Xbox has confirmed that the Series X’s inside is functional, but its appearance is unusual. Microsoft recommends looking at the creation more as a display piece. No real alligators were used.
How to Apply By November 10
Eligible participants can enter via Xbox’s official accounts on Instagram, TikTok or X. To enter, participants must manually add the hashtag #XbiteSweepstakes, repost the specified sweepstakes announcement and follow @Xbox. Accounts have to be public for entries to be visible.
Entries will be accepted beginning at 9 a.m. Pacific Time on November 3 until 11:59 p.m. at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time on November 10, 2026. No acquisition required. Entrants must be 18 and older and located in the United States or qualifying territories, and are subject to official sweepstakes rules.
October 31 or November 10, depending on which of the published summaries of the sweepstakes rules you read, with a random winner selection around November 11. Xbox says if you’re a potential winner you’ll have 48 hours to respond once you’re notified, which just goes to show how important your social media messages are in the days to come.
No date has been announced for public winner reveal, second production run or retail launch. Xbox Series X-BITE for the month of November is a custom prize, not a console that shoppers can add to their carts.
