Realme has gone all out with its Harry Potter collaboration. The Realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition offers more than just a themed rear panel. The phone’s physical design, interface, camera details, and packaging are all imbued with the Hogwarts theme.
The handset was launched in India on September 21, priced at ₹62,999. A collector-focused identity, instead of just another color option, the release is limited to only 5,000 units globally.
It has a textured brown back with imagery of the Hogwarts houses, and a camera enclosure with a nod to Hedwig. Realme has also added Hogwarts Castle wallpapers, Harry Potter boot sequence, themed fingerprint animation and more than 30 redesigned native app icons. The box continues the idea with Hogwarts Acceptance Gift Kit.
Below the memorabilia is proper phone hardware. Camera-wise, Realme has a 200MP Samsung HP5 main camera with OIS, a 50MP selfie camera and a 112-degree wide camera. There are four Hogwarts house watermarks you can apply to your photos.
The phone is equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300-Max 5G chip and has a 7,000mAh battery that supports 80W charging. It has an AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10+. Realme claims IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K for resistance ratings.
What gives this edition character is the amount of work that went into it beyond the back cover. From the boot-up, unlock, native app opening and picture-taking processes, there are elements of the Hogwarts treatment.
That makes the Realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition more palatable as licensed hardware created for collectors who also need an everyday Android phone. The limited edition run is as significant for Harry Potter aficionados as the 200MP camera or colossal battery.
