There are eight games currently listed as leaving, including some big names such as Silent Hill 2 and Yakuza: Like a Dragon for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers who will have until October 20 to play them.

The October removals were spotted via PlayStation’s Last Chance to Play section, according to reports tracking the latest Game Catalog update.

PlayStation Plus 2020 October Departure

  • Silent Hill 2 – PS5
  • Yakuza: Like a Dragon — PS5, PS4
  • Jurassic World Evolution 2 (PS5, PS4)
  • Death Squared – PlayStation 4
  • Rogue Lords – PS4
  • Gloomhaven PS5, PS4
  • Harvest Moon: Light of Hope — PS4
  • Lake — PS5, PS4

The list gives subscribers less than a month to finish what they have left in their backlog. Silent Hill 2 is one of the more notable removals this month, with its planned exit coming as part of the PlayStation Plus Extra Game Catalog this month following its release in October 2024.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is another big left hook. The RPG featured series protagonist Ichiban Kasuga, and changed the series’ main combat system to turn-based battles.

Before planning around the deadline, one thing players should check: PlayStation Plus catalogs are regional. Small differences in names, editions and earlier removal information have been reported from different PlayStation Store territories, so subscribers should check the Last Chance to Play section on their own console or regional PlayStation Store.

What happens after 20 October?

These are Game Catalog titles, not the monthly titles that are claimed through PlayStation Plus Essential.

Extra members have access to the Game Catalog while they have an active subscription, and Premium has the catalog and other benefits. Once a Game Catalog title is deleted, you lose catalog access to that game. Having it installed does not make it a permanently claimed title.

Mark October 20 on your calendar if you’re already playing through Silent Hill 2, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Lake or any of the other games on the list.

Note from the source: PlayStation’s Last Chance to Play listings have reported the October 20 removal list. Catalog entries and availability may be regional.
